Carmenère is a Bordeaux variety that was considered long-lost until it was rediscovered in Chile a decade ago. Today, the vines flourish at Viña La Playa, nurtured by the exceptional soil conditions and unique microclimate of the Colchagua Valley.
Deep, vivid red. An expressive nose shows lavish aromas of plum, blackberry marmalade, herbs and notes of spicy chocolate and vanilla. A full palate opens to well-balanced and flavorful black fruit with a long, pleasant, toasty finish.
